About this Dog
Meet Sweetie, a 5-year-old German Shepherd. She was found wandering the streets after being mistreated by some neighborhood kids who threw rocks and poked her with sticks. Despite everything she’s been through, Sweetie’s heart is still full of love and hope. The moment we brought her home, she showed us just how gentle and resilient she is. She deserves a second chance at a safe, loving forever home. Sweetie is good with calm, respectful adults. She likes going on walks, laying in the sun, and getting belly rubs. She would love a home with an experienced owner who understands the needs of a dog with a tough past and can give her the love, patience, and care she deserves. She would not do well with young kids or other female dogs — she prefers a quieter, steady environment where she can feel safe. A fenced-in yard is a must for her, as she loves being outdoors but needs a secure space. Sweetie is potty trained, crate trained, and up to date on her rabies vaccine. She’s a smart, loyal girl who just wants to feel safe and loved. If you have room in your heart and home for a dog who’s ready for a fresh start, Sweetie is waiting to meet you. Sweetie is located in Winston Salem. If you would like to adopt Sweetie, please contact Darian at: [email protected]

Adopt Sweetie and Receive Sweetie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sweetie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sweetie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sweetie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sweetie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sweetie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sweetie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sweetie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sweetie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
