About this Dog
Jordie is a very sweet German Shepard mix who is approximately 2.5 years old. Jordie loves her toys, enjoys walks, likes to ride in vehicles, and is crate and kennel trained. She is initially skittish with new humans but warms up pretty quickly. She loves to be in the company of her foster parents and when it is time for her to go back to her kennel she rolls over on her back and shows her belly in hopes that her cuteness will make them stay. She gets along with some dogs but she prefers to be the dominant dog in the house. Jordie and her foster's male German Shepard don't get along very well. It would probably be best for Jordie to go to a home where she can be the only dog or be with a dog that is very low keyed. She is very curious about cats but has not been around them much. Jordie was found roaming near Jordan Lake with a limp. After caring folks saw this and called Animal Resources, Jordie willingly got in a crate. It was discovered that Jordie had a very badly broken rear right leg caused most likely by being hit by a vehicle. Time was not on her side. Jordie was taken into foster care and thanks to many generous people she was able to get the surgery she needed to repair her leg. She then had to spend many weeks in a splint and with limited movement and follow up vet appointments. However, this did not dampen her spirit at all. She has been a wonderful patient throughout the process and earned many praises from veterinary professionals. After two months of recovery, Jordie seems to have no issues with her leg bothering her. Jordie is looking for her forever home now and it will need to be a special match. She will make someone a wonderful companion.

Please begin the process of claiming Jordie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jordie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jordie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jordie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jordie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
