Hi there! Located: Smithfield, VA I’m Rocco, named after that funny guy from Boondock Saints —yup, the goofy one! I’m a playful, loving pup currently living with three other doggies. Two don’t quite match my energy level, BUT I have a young sister who’s my absolute BFF, and together we’re like a dynamic duo of mischief! We zoom around the yard and play tag until we’re both exhausted. I hope my new home has a young dog or two so we can keep the fun going! I adore walks with my older doggie siblings, but honestly, I’d rather be frolicking through tall grass. Pavement? Meh, not my favorite. I’m a grass-galloping, leaf-chomping kind of guy! Plus, I’m a pretty big boy, growing faster than you can say “GOOD BOY”—and speaking of, that’s my motto. Foster Mom did some Q-tip magic to figure out my mix, but really, I’m just a bundle of joy and love. I’m still working on my housebreaking skills (sorry about that little mishap upstairs), but I’m learning and trying my best! At night, I’m fine in my kennel, but I’d really love to snuggle up next to you in bed if you’ll let me. I’m also super excited about the possibility of having little humans around to play with—they’re just the best! Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rocco's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rocco was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rocco’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rocco’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rocco’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
