About this Dog
Squeeks was found as a stray and after his stray hold was up he became a PAR dog. Notes from his foster:It took him a few days to warm up to us. He is a quiet dog for most of the time! He'll hang out on the couch or in his open kennel. Until there is a delivery driver or the other dogs start to bark. Squeeks has a higher pitch bark.He is low key and quiet, but can get really excited if it's time to go for a walk, a car ride, or when you come home. He will bark, jump, and mouth (not an actual bite). He gets along with small dogs, dogs that were his size, and dogs that were bigger than him (65lbs). But seems to prefer males. One of the dogs is a 28 lbs paralyzed dog in a wheelchair and Squeeks doesn't mind the wheelchair at all. We don't have cats, so I don't know how he would be.He loves the fenced in yard to run around it. He runs around, plays with the other dogs, sniffs everything, and occasionally digs. For car rides, he'll jump right in! For walks, a martingale color is highly recommended. He will sometimes try to back out of his collar if you don't go in the direction he was hoping to go. I would not trust him off leash unless he was trained.I would not trust him near an open door either - he will absolutely try to sneak out. He is quick and quiet! He is house-trained. He only had one accident when he first arrived, which is to be expected. He loves to sleep in the bed with the humans at night. But he will go to his kennel if you point and say kennel. He loves soft blankets, squeaky toys, and antlers. He shared his toys with the other dogs. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. We do feed him separately in a crate, as we do with all of our dogs.Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt! Adopt Squeeks and Receive Squeeks's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Squeeks's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Squeeks's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Squeeks, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Squeeks's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Squeeks was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Squeeks’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Squeeks’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Squeeks’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
