This sweet 4-month-old Terrier/Hound mix came into the shelter with his siblings at just 5 weeks old, covered in goo and in need of serious care. Thanks to his amazing foster home, he’s bounced back and is ready for his forever family. He might be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, Croissant becomes a total lovebug. He's more relaxed than his sister Rye—less energetic, more snuggly, and perfectly happy to lounge at your side. He loves people (maybe a bit too much!) and prefers staying close to his humans. He’s great with kids, other dogs, and even cats. Not overly vocal, Croissant usually only "talks" when he's playing and doesn't bark at people, animals, or passing distractions. Croissant is doing wonderfully with training. He's almost fully house-trained, uses puppy pads, and is learning to go potty outside. He knows sit, shake, lay down, wait, come, and has impressive recall. He’s learning “stay” and responds well to “no,” but will thrive with continued training and routine. At about 25 pounds already, he may grow bigger than expected! If you're looking for a gentle, goofy pup with a calm spirit and endless affection, Croissant is your guy. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Croissant was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Croissant’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Croissant’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Croissant’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
