About this Dog
Mira came to us as part of an operation in where over 145 dogs and one kitten were rescued out of a "house" in Florida. They were living in deplorable conditions. But this pup seems to be resilient and eager to live a full life with someone that is willing to give her a chance. She still needs to learn how to fully trust humans and love them. She can be shy, but warms up nicely. When she came to her foster's home, she was scared but immediatly settled and found comfort from the human child! Since the child is not full time at the foster's home, Mira forgets that she knows this child and has to start the trusting process over each time. Mira is sometimes very affectionate and will snuggle/give kisses, but she's mostly a busy-body who wants things on her terms. She will, however, stand straight up on her hinds legs when she knows her foster mom wants to pick her up!Mira is also an inquisitive littel gal and will get into anything and everything she can; a watchful eye on this one is required! Mira should not be left unattended under any circumstance, as she's very cat-like and will figure out a way to get where she wants.... like up onto the kitchen counter, or up on a cat tower! Mira is fine with her cat friends UNLESS there is food around, then she'll growl at any kitty in an attempt to claim that kitty's food! She has been doing well with pottying outside but could still have some accidents. Mira came from a home with lots of dogs so she is good with other dogs and DEFINITELY needs another dog(s) in her forever home to help her feel comfortable and continue on her house dog journey. Adopt Mira and Receive Mira's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mira's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Mira's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Mira, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mira's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mira was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mira’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mira’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mira’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
