Calling all dog whisperers!! Ellen is a fantastic, fun, and wide open little dog. She's super happy and lives to be in the room with all the activity and action. She plays well with other dogs, is learning house manners, and is FUNNY. She's a constant companion and brings lots of life to any room she's in. She has some work to do though - As much as she loves people and wants to be with her people, she doesn't love being picked up and isn't too interested in pets. She stays just a few feet out of reach and is close, but no touchie! She is HIGHLY food motivated and we're making lots of progress with treats and patience. She's going to come around, but her trust is not free. If you love energetic little dogs, understand a bit of fear, and want a best friend forever, Ellen might be your girl!

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ellen's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ellen was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ellen’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ellen’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ellen’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
