About this Dog
Bea is estimated to be 15 years old and weighs in at a whopping 6 pounds! Bea has patellar luxation, causing her back legs to be quite bowed. Bea receives Librella injections once monthly to help with her arthritis. In the future Bea will require a mobility aid to get around. Bea has only a few teeth, so her food must be soaked in water before serving. Bea also has a condition called micro-opthamalia meaning her right eye is small and does not naturally produce lubricant. Because of this she must get lubricant drops twice daily, and sometimes you also need to use a wet cloth to remove some crust from her eye. Due to Bea’s age she will not be spayed so it is imperative that she is not in contact with unaltered male dogs - this also means Bea will continue to experience a heat cycle. Despite her age and disabilities, Bea is just getting started with her new life! She is nervous around new people at first, but will quickly become your shadow and demand to sit on your lap. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and even cats. She is crate trained and does know to go potty outdoors, but does wear diapers inside due to her age. Beatriz and roughly 150 other dogs were rescued by Animal Rescue Corp from a hoarding case in Madison, FL. You can apply to adopt our dogs at: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoption

Adopt Beatriz and Receive Beatriz's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Beatriz's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Beatriz's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Beatriz, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Beatriz's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Beatriz was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Beatriz’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Beatriz’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Beatriz’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
