Rusty is an affectionate, easygoing guy whoâs thriving in foster care. He settled in right away, picked out a favorite toy from a basket, and made himself at home. He's a total cuddle bug who follows his foster around like a little shadow and loves to curl up in a lap for naps. He enjoys short bursts of play with squeaky toys, but his favorite thing is working on a pupcicle treat toy.He's housetrained with no accidents reported and has good leash manners, though he may pull a bit if he spots another dog or wildlifeâheâs easily redirected. Rusty rides well in the car with a seatbelt leash and has been calm and polite during outings. He greets new people gently without jumping or barking. He prefers not to share space with other dogs and we're unsure about cats.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and RUSTY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, RUSTY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the RUSTY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, RUSTY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
