About this Dog
Snickers is an almost 5-year-old mixed breed sweetheart, possibly a Yorkie/Chocolate Chihuahua blend, weighing in at a cuddly 9 pounds. With his big heart and tiny paws, Snickers is the ultimate lap dog who’s happiest when he’s curled up beside you or following close on your heels. This loving little guy thrives on companionship and wants nothing more than to be by your side—whether you’re relaxing on the couch or moving from room to room, Snickers will be your loyal little shadow. He gets along well with other dogs and is almost fully housebroken, though he previously relied on pee pads before entering our care. Snickers will need someone who understands his desire for closeness and will be mindful of his tendency to stick close—especially when doors to the outside are opening. He's not a fan of being alone, but he’ll happily trade solitude for your love and attention. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate companion who lives to snuggle and will never let you feel lonely, Snickers might just be your perfect match! The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected]. There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be at least 4 feet or higher with gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches and attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing), it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business days. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption fee: $500

Adopt Snickers and Receive Snickers's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Snickers's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Snickers's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Snickers, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Snickers's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Snickers was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Snickers’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Snickers’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Snickers’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
