About this Dog
Crystal is a 6 yr old Pomeranian mix who weighs 7 lb. Crystal is spunky and energetic. She's a snuggler and affectionate and enjoys walking and sleeping in the bed with her foster parents. This friendly, happy Pom mix could be an only dog or have another small dog in the home, but she's really about her people. Any other dog in the home will need to be under 10lbs. She has mastered leash walking and doing well on housetraining. Crystal had a visit to the cardiologist who identified via an ultrasound a heart murmur due to mitral valve disease and put her on Vetmedin. Crystal will need to be on this medication for the rest of her life and should receive cardiology checkups once a year or sooner if something changes. She has no outward signs of heart issues at this time but will benefit from Vetmedin (which slows the progression of heart enlargement and produces a good quality of life). Although Crystal is asymptomatic for heart disease, whoever adopts her will have to be vigilant and watch for any possible progression of heart disease and be able to afford Vetmedin (which she will need to be on for the rest of her life) and heart check-ups. Heart disease is not uncommon in small dogs, so please read up on it and research the cost of Vetmedin. Crystal is on Vetmedin 2 times/day. Her outlook is good with weight control and Vetmedin. Crystal will come with 2 bottles of Vetmedin. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME (NO CHILDREN) WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD FOR CRYSTAL'S ADOPTIVE HOME. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 1.5 inches and attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500

Adopt Crystal and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Crystal's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Crystal's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Crystal, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Crystal's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Crystal was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Crystal’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Crystal’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Crystal’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
