About this Dog
MICKI ~2 years old. Good with large dogs and cats. Not good with kids. Needs companion animal. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only. Oh Micki you're so fine you blow my mind oh Micki!!!!! Micki is that girl who needs only one sip of her White Claw to become the life of the party!! She's the one who strangers would swear is quiet, shy and a devoted church-goer. But those that know her, behind the cloisters of her foster family's home, know that she is living La Vida Loca!!!! When it comes to having fun, Micki will be your guide! Whether it's making 1ft deep mud holes in your backyard, turning your hot tub into her very own splash pad or licking toads late at night in the backyard - if there is even a chance that a good time could be had, Micki is there with know how to make it happen! We think Micki started life as a domestic princess as her house manners are really great. But, as is the case with many a young girl, somewhere along the way, she fell into the wrong crowd and ended up on the streets. Although she doesn't like to talk about, Micki does have a rap sheet with the Po Po. She was accused of stealing home-delivered food off someone's porch, goosing a guy who was mowing his front lawn, harassing sleeping cats and running the streets in search of a good time. During this time on the lam, Micki lived by the rule of "dogs rule, humans drool"! It was no touchy-touchy as far as people go and when it came to dodging any form of human contact, Micki was at gold medal Olympian status. Until........ one fateful day when a hankering for roast chicken landed her in a dog pen where we were able to catch her!! Fast forward 3 weeks and Micki has accepted her fate and is back to doing what she does best - having fun! The transition from wild street pup to wild house pup could never have happened had it not been for Micki's canine foster siblings! They have been key to getting her to become comfortable with the humans in her house (well, that and the magical black box called a fridge!!). Through patience, dog help and lots of lunch meat, Micki is coming around to the idea of being patted and rubbed. She still likes to play "keep away", especially if you make the mistake of moving too fast, but the Ice Queen of human dislike is definitely thawing and learning that creatures with opposable thumbs have a lot to offer a girl like her! Once thing Micki has NEVER had a problem with though is having fun with other dogs. This girl likes to play 24/7 and, like we mentioned above, can make anything a game. She loves toys, water and dirt (not necessarily in that order). If Micki isn't sleeping, she is playing. It's a good thing her foster home has 2 dogs as Micki has so much energy that they need to tag team while playing so one of them doesn't collapse in a panting pile of fur!! Having a playful, energetic canine friend is going to be a "must have" in Micki's forever home! Talking of forever homes, Micki has communicated pretty clearly what she wants/needs in that department. Her list of demands include: * VERY patient, adult humans who have experience nurturing and encouraging "human-shy" dogs * No children and no small dogs (trust me, us humans and the other GSDs have a hard enough time keeping up with her) * A high energy, confident, PLAYFUL dog her size that will continue to teach her the ropes of being a family dog. * Cats would be acceptable, but they need to be confident enough to back her down when she goes to play with them. * A large, fenced in yard that can withstand a water-seeking, dirt-digging furry missile. * A low key lifestyle that doesn't include a lot of human traffic inside the home (Micki prefers dealing with one human at a time). While Micki waits for her forever family to find her, she will continue polishing her human interaction skills and will try to work on her aversion to leash walking. Oh, and she will continue to play, and play, and play........

Adopt Micki and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Micki's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Micki's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Micki, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Micki's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Micki was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Micki’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Micki’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Micki’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
