Hi folks, Luke here. I figured I'd write my own bio, because if that one doofus can do it, anyone can. Anyway, I'm a lab/border collie mix, around four years old, and I weigh in at just under 60 lbs., Actually, I'm not sure of any of that, because my brain is 70% tennis balls. I'm just going with what THEY tell me. I have LOTS of energy, so if you enjoy running, hiking, trekking across Antarctica, etc.., then I'm your dog. I'm a sweet guy around humans, but I'm not a fan of other dogs and cats (it's not my fault they stare!). That said, I need to be the only pet in your home. I realize those are particular circumstances, but I'm more than willing to wait for the right person. I'm an avid collector of 80's action figures, I enjoy the music of The Tragically Hip, and `Mean Streets` is my favorite film of all time. To wrap things up, I know I'm perfect for someone out there, so swing by one day and let's hang out.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and LUKE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, LUKE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the LUKE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, LUKE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
