About this Dog
Meet Charlene: One Half of a Perfect Pair Age: 9 years | Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Mix (possibly with Brussels Griffon!) | Weight: Under 15 lbs Charlene is the definition of a lap dog. Small, sweet, and soulful, she’s happiest when she’s curled up in your arms or trotting beside you on a leash. Her expressive eyes and scruffy little face will win your heart before you even finish your first walk together. She’s leash-trained, rides like a dream in the car, and knows her way around a crate—though she might speak up if she hears you nearby and just wants a little cuddle time. Charlene is one half of a bonded pair with her sister, Colette. These two have been inseparable since birth, spending every day of their 9 years side by side. They chase each other in the yard, nap in a sunbeam together, and even share kisses. They’ve lived peacefully with other dogs and even cats, making them a great fit for a multi-pet household. Charlene doesn’t want much—just a warm lap, some outdoor adventures, and her sister always by her side. If you believe in lifelong love, these two are living proof. Please consider opening your heart to both Charlene and Colette. Their next chapter deserves to be written together. If you are interested in adopting Charlene, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **

Adopt Charlene and Receive Charlene's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Charlene's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Charlene's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Charlene, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Charlene's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Charlene was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Charlene’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Charlene’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Charlene’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
