About this Dog
Looking for a forever home for Remy, a very sweet 9 year old blue heeler. Remy is cuddly, loyal, and loves to play fetch. I rescued him when he was two years old. I don’t think he was socialized and he may have been abused so he slow to warm up to people and can bite if not introduced in a slow thoughtful manner. He can also be reactive around aggressive dogs. Once he warms up to people he is incredibly sweet and he does very well with calm or especially small dogs. He’s fine with older kids. He is a heeler so he may try to heard groups of people or children and nip at their ankle. He’s very well behaved at home. No accidents and doesn’t chew anything up. He loves his chew toys and naps a lot during the day. He would love a home with a big yard or even a farm to run around. He also loves to sunbath in the yard and is a very happy puppy.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Remy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Remy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Remy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Remy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
