I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I did well for my intake exam and vaccines, and I'm a beautiful dog!Here's what my foster has to say about me:`Ella is a very cuddly dog and loves to be around people and pets. She can be a bit nervous when meeting new people and pets but will soon love them all. She doesnât mind being touched anywhere. She doesnât like water but if you give her a bath with water in a bucket she does better aka no hose. She lovesssss chicken. She likes to sleep with you in your bed. She heels when on walks and will turn around to make sure youâre still there with her. She definitely is a Velcro dog and absolutely will go anywhere as long as sheâs with you.I love that she likes to cuddle and sleep with me. She can be mellow but also energetic in short spurts. Shes so well behaved and is potty trained.`

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ELLA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ELLA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the ELLA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ELLA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
