About this Dog
Hi! My name is Waffles. I’m an 8 year old tripod pit mix. I had a ruff start in life, but have been with my family for the past 6 years. I LOVE to cuddle! I’m also an anxious girl, but have done a lot of training and even take medication to help. I get along great with my beagle brother but I don’t like dogs with too strong of a dominant personality. I am currently very unsure of the toddler that lives with me. Sometimes I can be reactive out of wanting to protect my human, and I need someone with a big heart, lots of patience, and understanding of my needs for structure and consistency. My paw-rents love me so much and have done everything they can. They know I have so much to offer someone and want me to live my life in the most loving home possible! I get that they want to keep their tiny human safe and want what is best for me too. I love adventures, I’m muzzle trained, I do better with the female humans, tennis balls are my favorite, and at the end of the day (or beginning and middle), all I want to do is cuddle up to my person.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Waffles was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Waffles’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Waffles’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Waffles’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
