Strong, loyal and sensitive, Layla is true to the Cane Corso breed. She adores her person and follows them like a little (big) shadow. Layla is like a flower on the cusp of blossoming! She learns quickly and the more exposure she gets, the less new things phase her. She just needs someone wanting to invest time and patience into her care. In her foster home, Layla loves playing with her two large foster siblings. We recommend a home with other large dogs and a fenced yard. Layla has done well on public outings with a harness.While she can be like a bull in a china shop when excited (like any large puppy), she also knows how to settle and enjoys chewing bones and snuggling with her foster siblings. Due to the nature of the breed, Layla will only go to a home with previous Corso experience. She has the makings of an amazing dog but will need someone dedicated to her training. Kids are still a little too unpredictable for Layla, so we recommend an adult home or one with older kids. She has a cosmetic cherry eye, but it will not affect her health. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Layla was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Layla’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Layla’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Layla’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
