Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website. Contact the owner at 571-599-9093 or [email protected] for more information or to adopt the pet.Hecate (“Hex”) is a sweet, gentle lab-pit mix who loves long walks, yak cheese, tug-of-war and hanging out with her pack. This 8-year-old, 68-pound pup has experience living with cats and children.Hex doesn’t like to be left alone (which she’ll express by barking and chewing on her bed), so she’d do best in a house with another dog to keep her company while her parent(s) are out. She’ll sleep peacefully half the day as long as her family is near.Hex loves going for walks and jogs, but like many dogs can be a little reactive on the leash when she’s on her home turf. She’s working on it and with some more patient training should improve. She’s usually better about this in unfamiliar settings where she doesn’t feel territorial, so she’d love to join you on trips around town.Hex is the perfect Asheville companion, always up for a hike and a trip to the brewery after!Contact me today at 571-599-9093 or [email protected] to learn more about sweet Hex.

Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Hecate (aka Hex)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hecate (aka Hex)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
