About this Dog
Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue. Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website. Contact 828-407-0003 for more information or to adopt the pet.Ginger weighs 50 lbs (perfect, medium/compact size), and this adorable chunk is just the sweetest. She is fully house-trained and has NEVER had an accident in the house. She can hold it for about 8 hours. She is a very smart dog that gives the cutest little howls when she is about to go on a W.A.L.K (don't say it unless you plan to go). Her personality is a little cat-like. Lots of sunbathing, stretching and rotating between hot and cold, in and out the doggie door, to create her own personal spa. She is very chill and does not bark inside. She loves to spend her day snoozing with you on the couch or in a sunny window. She doesn't pull on walks and loves to be walked by kids. She has a silly sly grin and loves to play tug of war with you. Healthwise, she loves to go for walks and play, but she does have an old rear leg injury, so she can't do overly strenuous things. We try to keep her walks at a mile or less, although she can go a little longer on grass or trails, and she adores non-strenuous trails and hikes. She also enjoys camping and car rides. We do not have a cat, but I think she would be fine with them. We have videos of her playing so sweetly with our two ferrets, and she was always super gentle with them. She is up to date on her shots and spayed and will come with some dog food to ensure a smooth transition. She knows sit, lay down, shake, wait and other basic commands. Her ideal family:1. Preferably no other dogs, although she does well with small dogs or submissive dog that will allow her to be the alpha. She would love as much individualized love and attention as possible2. Sunny front porch or yard! - *Absolute must to have outdoor space with a sunny balcony, front porch or yard for endless sunbathing - this is her happy place.3. Children - She ADORES children. She greets every stroller on the street, and having five toddlers petting her at a time is her personal heaven. I have no doubt that she is 100% child safe and can be trusted to cuddle and protect your little ones. She adores being doted on by children, and I bet she would love her toenails painted!4. Cats - I am not sure how she would be with a cat, as we don't have one. She used to have a cat friend that she would greet on walks, but sometimes it seems like she would like to chase (in a fun way). I think it would work out, but a trial period would be advised and it may take a little training. Reason for Rehoming: The only reason we are rehoming Ginger is because our other dog is very large and has a rare autoimmune disease that requires steroids (which increases aggression) and they are not getting along. Any added stress causes flare-ups and episodes of inflammation and paralysis. Managing our other dog's health issues and having to keep them separated means that Ginger is not getting the love and attention she deserves and we are struggling to juggle everything. We want Ginger to go to a wonderful home, and she deserves the absolute best. She really is the perfect dog, and we will only be letting her go to the perfect home. We welcome short trial periods and want to ensure it is a perfect fit for you and for her. I guarantee you will be fully in-love with her within 3 days. A small adoption fee applies, to ensure a good home, and 100% will be donated to the local animal shelter.Contact me today at 828-407-0003 to learn more about loving, cuddly Ginger!

Adopt Ginger and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ginger's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Ginger's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Ginger, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ginger's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ginger was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ginger’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Ginger’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ginger’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
