About this Dog
Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue. Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website. Contact [email protected] for more information or to adopt the pet.Skye is a very sweet, affectionate pit/hound mix who is looking for her forever home and adventure companion. She is high energy and needs to be with someone active who can give her plenty of exercise. This doesn’t mean that she doesn’t know how to relax on the couch though! She is the best snuggle buddy and loves to participate in a good Netflix binge. She loves every human she meets, regardless of age or gender. Playing in the snow during the winter or laying in the sun chewing on sticks in the summer are some of her favorite activities, but being close to her person is her favorite thing of all, so she needs to be with someone who won’t leave her for long periods of time each day or who at least has a dog walker come in during the day if they work long hours. She can be left free in the house when she is home alone as long as trash, food and other objects that she might find very interesting to chew on are out of her reach.I rescued her from an abusive situation when she was 6 months old, so her nervous system is on high alert all the time, but a lot of exercise would definitely help this. She has anxiety around food and has shown mild food aggression towards my cats, nothing dangerous, but has not shown food aggression towards humans at all. I am having to rehome her because she does not get along with my other dog. She can have play dates with some other dogs outside of the home, especially male dogs, under the supervision of someone who is experienced with dogs, but she is possessive and would prefer to be the only pet in the home. In the right environment, where all of her needs are being met, and with professional training from a trainer who uses gentle techniques, I know Skye would thrive and make a wonderful companion for someone. She just completed a week of boarding and training and she's doing very well witheverything new she is learning. Oh, and she loves to have Baby Shark sung to her! :)Contact Gretchin today at 828-582-3363 or [email protected] to learn more about Skye or to meet her!

Adopt Skye and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Skye's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Skye's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Skye, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Skye's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Skye was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Skye’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Skye’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Skye’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
