About this Cat
Kye is a super-affectionate, good-natured sweetheart who is all about the snuggles! While his favorite thing to do is cuddle up against your side or on your chest, Kye also enjoys chasing wand toys, romping around the foster room with his buddy, Noodle, and sunning himself in the window. When he first came to us several months ago, Kye was struggling with a respiratory infection that had caused his third eyelid to protrude and partially cover his eye. After treatment and under the supervision of our vet, Kye’s eyelid has almost completely receded, and it was determined that this was likely caused by the feline herpes virus although that has not been officially confirmed. With proper management and routine vet care, Kye is all set to enjoy a happy, healthy life! We had a cat with feline herpes virus; she lived to 16 with one or two flare-ups per year that we’d knock down fairly quickly. It’s honestly not that big of a deal as long as you have a good vet and are prepated to work to boost his immune system! He responded well to a course of Famciclovir viral medication during his most recent flare up. He got along very well with dogs in his first adoptive home. His original owner is now travelling a lot for work so he has found his way back to us to find his true forever home. His favorite things to do include laying on your neck and trying to trip you when you walk just so you’ll pet him. He is not shy when it comes to telling you he is hungry and will meow somberly at you until you fill his bowl. At night he will sleep curled in a ball next to you or under your covers. He loves to lay in front of the window and soak in the sun, and if you have a dog bed….he would prefer to make it his. While he is playful, he doesn’t have any scratching or biting problems, in fact he’s more of a trickster when it comes to playing. He does love toys; his most beloved toy is not a cat toy though… it is any string that happens to be around. Meet Kye and his good friend, Noodle, at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, from 12-4pm on Saturday during our weekly adoption event. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. Apply to adopt to be the first to schedule a meet and greet.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kye was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kye’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kye’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kye’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
