Stella was just recently the most amazing Mama cat to 6 kittens, yet she is still a playful kitten herself… Her rough start at life makes her a little bit weary of new people and environments, but once she warms up she is the most loyal of companions. She loves to lay in the sun spots shining through the window while you scratch behind her ear. If you’re looking for a kitty to keep you company on your desk while you work, Stella’s your girl! She would be best in a single pet household although with slow introductions and time, she could be fine with other calm cats in a quiet household. Since weaning her kittens and being spayed, she has been gaining confidence and making good progress with the other cats in her foster home. The dogs are still a bit much for her though. Stella will be waiting to meet you at Thrift Hound, 234 New Leicester Hwy, during business hours. Applications are not processed in the store so if you hope to take her home the same day you meet her, be sure to submit the online application and wait for one of our adoption counselors to give you a call. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Stella W was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Stella W’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Stella W’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Stella W’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
