About this Cat
We're looking to re-home our beloved King Tubby. Sadly we've confirmed my partner has developed kitty allergies along with some other health issues and we need to find him a new family. Here are some fast facts: He's about 15 /16 pounds and a very people focused, chatty and affectionate burly boy. We got him from the Tioga County SPCA (Stay Heaven) back in February 2022. He came to us with quite a few battle wounds, and everyone involved (including the woman who took him in during a cold snap then brought him to the shelter) thinks he had quite the rough and tumble start to life. He can be a little spicy when playing (which we attribute to his time as a stay), but he is such a wonderful cat. He has a chip out of his nose and left ear, and a bit of a gimpy leg but none of that slows him down! He is also FIV positive, but has not had any health problems over the past 3 years. He gets along with our dog, and we think he would be good with other cats (who are vaccinated) and cat savvy kiddos. He loves: The porch and cat grass (we keep him indoors) "spa time" (will come into the bathroom while you shower or take a bath and enjoy the steam)Balls and feathersUsing his people as furniture (loves to snuggle and get pets)Boxes, drawers and basketsLounging in the sunSerenading you and holding conversations

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tubby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tubby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tubby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tubby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tubby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
