About this Dog
When you meet Henry, you will love him. All the charm of the breed is rolled up into a 105-pound package of Pyr-boy fun! This handsome 4-year old is always interested in playing, so a home with other dogs would suit him really well. He gets along with, and has lived with, both male and female dogs. Henry has double dew claws and came to rescue from a Kentucky breeder in the Fall of 2020 when he was a big, clumsy pup. He was adopted years ago, but his Pyrents have split up, so Henry needs a new foster or furever home. He can be quite puppyish, and wants to meet everyone and do everything, so be prepared for adventure with this fun pup. He is easy to please though, as a stick is still his favorite toy. Henry has mastered the “sit” and “down" commands with biscuit bribes, and we think he can learn many more if properly encouraged, and in a home that loves and understands the breed. Please fill out our online adoption application to see if Henry is the right Pyr for you. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding.
