UPDATE 5/12/25: We are seeing so much progress with our sweet Dolce - with the help of physical therapy, accupuncture and lots of massage and TLC she is regaining the use of her back legs! She still has a way to go but we are hopeful for a full recovery. Dolce will need a calm household so she does not injure herself when she is ready for adoption.Meet Dolce, a sweet little girl whose name perfectly matches her personality. At just over a year old, she was thriving until a few weeks ago, when she suddenly lost the use of her back legs. After thorough evaluation and scans, surgery has been ruled out, and physical therapy is now essential for her recovery. We're searching for a long-term foster or adopter who can commit to her treatment plan and support her on this healing journey. While we all hope Dolce will regain the use of her legs, she currently uses a set of wheels to help her get around. She loves attention and will brighten any home with her sweet spirit. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dolce was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dolce’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dolce’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dolce’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
