About this Cat
Hemmingway and his 3 siblings came here completely feral. I set them up in two attached XL dog crates, one serving as a living quarters, the other as play/eat/litter box area. The first month they were housed in my living room which barely ever gets used, so that they could decompress and get used to the smells and sounds in the house without being exposed to the craziness. After that month I moved them into the dining room which is one with the kitchen and which is where things are happening in our house. When they went for their spay and neuter appointment several months later we were not sure if they'd ever become friendly, apart from Hemingway who would approach me when I brought in their food and would let me touch him. Hemingway is a little bit shy in the beginning but the absolute sweetest snuggle boy who’s really looking for someone who can give him the attention that he craves but doesn’t get at the rescue with so many other cats around. He loves to sleep in my bed. He’s got the absolute silkiest fur and doesn’t shed when you stroke him. Although he goes outside here, he'd be fine as an indoor only cat. He’s really such an easy going and sweet boy, I can’t believe he hasn’t gotten adopted yet. There’s no easier cat than Hemmy, he’s the perfect kitty.

Adopt Hemmingway and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Hemmingway's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Hemmingway's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Hemmingway, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Hemmingway's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hemmingway was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hemmingway’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Hemmingway’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hemmingway’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
