About this Dog
As a boxer rescue organization, a non negotiable rule in placing a dog into a home is that we will never place a female with another female due to “same sex bully breed aggression”. It’s a real thing, and you can google it if you don’t believe us. This owner surrender is a textbook case. Sadly, Skyla comes to us as an owner surrender because she is fighting with the other female boxer in the home. It’s not her fault, as this is a relatively common occurrence with two female boxers in the same home. We are grateful her current home chose to do the right thing, and seek out a rescue rather then give her away to a home with no boxer experience, or even worse, give her to a home with another female. She is kind to the older male dog in the home but tends to play like she’s on the WWE network. She plays hard! Skyla is slow to take cues from the other dogs, and her energy level quickly climbs. She needs a patient person who can work with her and teach her the basics. She’s sweet and wants so badly to fit in, but she doesn’t know how due to lacking attention and time. Skyla adores humans and forms a quick bond with them. We would feel comfortable placing her with a submissive male who can match her energy and play level. She clearly possesses all of the great traits and qualities of the boxer, but just needs a little work on her foundational manners. A home with a male dog(s) and children over 12 (due to her exhuberence)will be considered. Please apply to adopt Skyla at chboxerrescue.com/adopt

Adopt Skyla and Receive Skyla's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Skyla's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Skyla's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Skyla, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Skyla's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Skyla was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Skyla’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Skyla’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Skyla’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
