Meet Kahlua, a 2-year old Labrador Retriever / Staffordshire mix around 38 pounds. She is incredibly shy, but also very sweet! She has a petite, strong and nimble body. Her coat is short, is a lovely shade of coffee with extra cream, and she has a matching white chest and paws. She was saved from the streets of Alabama with a severely embedded collar from neglect. The community came together to catch her and get her to Hudson Paws, we all worked together to save her life. She is slowly opening up and finding her place here. She loves running in the yard and playing with other dogs. She even found a new boyfriend…Moby. Because of her traumatic past, she has a very hard time with new people. Kahlua will need a person with patience, tenderness, care, and love who is willing to work slowly with her - and in time you will win her heart over. The Labrador Retriever is a sweet-faced, lovable, adoring, outgoing, and high-spirited companion. Their eyes glimmer with kindliness and their tail seems to be forever signaling the breed's innate eagerness. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Kahlua's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kahlua was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kahlua’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kahlua’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kahlua’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
