Meet Holly, a 12 month old Shepherd mix weighing about 60 pounds. She has a big heart, soulful eyes, and an independent spirit. She came all the way from California… she didn’t run to NY, but she could have because she is an athletic gal! She has a gorgeous blond coat, caramel brown eyes with charming eyeliner, one charming folded over left ear, a beautifully proportioned and strong body, and when she is feeling confident she holds her head high and canters when she runs. She loves to be outside playing and exploring or getting full-body hugs and chilling on the couch with you. She loves her dog friends and is even good at teaching the puppies proper manners. She is quite shy with new people, but once she warms up we can promise you that she will be your loving, faithful companion. She is learning to love her leash walks and as long as she has a pup pal to accompany, she does great. Holly is eager and ready to be a part of your family!Shepherds are a lively, athletic, alert, and intelligent breed. They have retained their herding instinct for which they were originally developed. Having an independent nature, they can be slightly obstinate and have a mind of their own. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Holly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Holly’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Holly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Holly’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
