About this Cat
Hi, my name is Little Monkey. My mom and I were left to fend for ourselves in a hospital parking lot in 95-degree weather, and some very loving people rescued us. I am now 13 months old, FIV positive and I have been waiting a while now for my forever home. I know the right family will come along. Let me explain to you who I am. I will start by telling you that I am a very loving and affectionate kitty, but it is normal for me to get scared easily and become very defensive and aggressive at times. It takes me some time to adapt to new people and new surroundings. Once adjusted, I will do well with a family that will be patient with me and allow me to come to them when I want love and affection. I love to be petted and will immediately start purring. At times, I will even tolerate being held for a short period. I don't like to be forced to do things. I like things on my terms. I don't like having my nails clipped, so I require a muzzle because I can get very stressed and end up in my defensive and aggressive mode. I am not a big fan of being forced into a cat carrier, so if you decide to give me a chance and take me home, a top-loader cat carrier works best for me. I will adjust just fine in a home with no other animals or children and with a family that will be very patient and understanding with me. I enjoy playing with my cat toys, especially when my foster mom plays with them with me. I am full of energy and enjoy running and jumping. I will jump up on your lap or crawl into bed with you to take a nap, cuddle, or just to get some love. I can be very vocal and will answer you back when you call my name. After a while, you will get to know exactly what I am saying. I enjoy watching the birds come to the window bird feeder and will try to catch them. I am a very smart kitty, and I taught myself how to open doors. My foster mom had to start taping them shut because I was getting into and eating all my kitty treats in one sitting. Well, now that you know my story and you know who I am, I hope you will give me a chance. I really am a loving and affectionate kitty who loves to get love and affection back. I know my forever home is out there, and I will wait patiently for the right family to find me, and I hope that family will be you! I thank you for reading my story.

Adopt Little Monkey and Receive Little Monkey's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Little Monkey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Little Monkey's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Little Monkey, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Little Monkey's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Little Monkey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Little Monkey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Little Monkey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Little Monkey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
