He’s a loyal, sensitive boy who just wants to feel safe and cherished. While Kevin has made great strides, he can still be nervous in new situations and needs a home that understands the needs of shy or anxious dogs. Kevin is dog-selective—he gets along with some dogs, but not all—so he'd do best as the only dog in the home or with very slow, careful introductions to the right canine companion. Kevin thrives in a calm, structured environment with patient people who can help build his confidence at his own pace. Once he trusts you, he’s affectionate, goofy, and always close by—and he just might be the best cuddler you’ll ever meet. Whether it’s curling up next to you on the couch or tucking in for the night, Kevin knows how to snuggle like a pro. Kevin is high energy but aims to please! He loves playing with his humans and his ball but also likes quiet dinners out with his family at their favorite dog-friendly restaurant! Though Kevin is dog-selective, he behaves well in public and walks very well on the leash. Kevin’s perfect match: An experienced, adult-only home (or older teens), no cats, and a quiet setting where he can truly relax. A fenced yard would be a bonus! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kevin was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kevin’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kevin’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kevin’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
