Location: RI Ozzie is a 15 week old puppy. He is male and is a blue heeler mix. He is super smart and super people friendly. He loves to follow you around and be your constant shadow. He even loves to watch you sleep :-) Some call it creepy stalker like behavior. I call it living with an ACD. He plays with other dogs and is a little interested in the cat but since she doesn't run he gets bored of her quickly. He loves snuggles and outdoor time and anything that involves you being his best friend. He is a people pleaser and even taught himself the dog door just to make sure I never left his sight. He regularly ditches play time with the other dogs just to follow me around. The ideal homes for this baby will be ready and willing to do all the positive reinforcement training. Potty training, leash training and obedience training. If you love dogs and building a relationship through training, this pup may be for you! We know she is adorable, but all puppies are cute! You'll need to have a lifestyle in place to accommodate an energetic, intelligent, playful puppy! He is curious and shy, so he does hesitate to approach the other animals in your house. His new home will need to make sure the rest of the current fur babies living there are approachable and friendly. Puppy socialization classes are going to be a great way to expand his outgoing dog friendly personality. Please consider all the training a puppy requires before applying for adoption. The pup will to be to date on age-appropriate medical care, including microchip, and will be placed with a spay/neuter contract. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ozzie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ozzie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ozzie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ozzie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
