Location: Athens, GA. Meet Murphy! This 12-week-old Heeler mix is playful, smart, and full of potential. His mom is a Heeler, and while we don’t know who dad is, we expect Murphy to grow into a medium-sized dog. He’s quick to learn, loves chasing balls and chewing sticks, and is always up for some fun. Murphy lives with four adult dogs and two cats—he’s respectful of their space but always hopeful someone will want to play. He’s crate-trained for his age (sleeps through the night like a champ!) and doing great with leash training. House training is in progress, and he’s getting the hang of it. Murphy would be a great fit for an active home—especially one that enjoys walks, hikes, or has other playful pets. He’s a smart pup who will thrive with regular training and structure. Without it, he’s clever enough to find some mischief on his own. Like any young puppy, he’s still in the bitey stage, but he’s also affectionate, eager to please, and ready to bond with his people. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Murphy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Murphy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Murphy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Murphy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
