About this Dog
Birthdate: 02/04/2025Breed: One of a kindWeight: Still growing!Meet Montauk – The Snuggly Shoreline Sweetheart!Like the iconic coastal town she's named after, Montauk is a perfect blend of wild joy and peaceful charm. With her stunning black-and-white coat — as striking as waves crashing against soft sand — this beautiful girl turns heads everywhere she goes. But it’s her heart that truly shines.Montauk is a happy balance of play and peace. She’ll bounce after toys with pure puppy glee one moment, then curl up beside you like a warm wave of love the next. Snuggles? She’s got a sixth sense for them. Whether it’s a morning nap, an afternoon cuddle, or bedtime belly rubs, Montauk is happiest when she’s close to her people.Montauk is ready to be your beach buddy, your loyal shadow! Every day’s better with a little love, a lot of play, and a dog who feels like summer. "I’m one of the newest arrivals at Paws Crossed, and I'm settling in while the team gets to know me better. Check back soon for my full bio or, better yet, come meet me in person—I might just be your new best friend!" The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://www.pawscrossedny.org/cat-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.

Adopt Montauk and Receive Montauk's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Montauk's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Montauk's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Montauk, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Montauk's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Montauk was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Montauk’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Montauk’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Montauk’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
