Jude Vega was born about March 7, 2025 and might top out in the 55-60 pound range. He appears to be a hound/lab mix, but it’s possible there are many other breeds in his heritage. He is from the Baja Vega region of Puerto Rico, and was rescued from the streets there. He was safe with a foster until a neighbor with bad intentions came and got them and burnt some of them with cigarettes, and the foster Mom managed to get them back and start to care for their injuries. There were 9 pups altogether and the foster mom loved them very much and a note from her will be included in Jude's health record. They have held NO grudges ! They love people and are wonderful with all the other dogs here! They will cuddle right up in your lap if you will let them. The foster mom felt he is house trained, but with all these changes Joyful wants you to know there may be some work in that area. They will be a great fit to most any home. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00_. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jude Vega was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jude Vega’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jude Vega’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jude Vega’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
