About this Dog
🐾 Meet Kirby! Looking for His Forever Home ❤️
Kirby is a handsome 5-year-old chocolate-brown and white Pit Bull/Husky mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart.
Kirby is a sweet, loving boy who enjoys being around people and is good with children. He has a strong personality around other male dogs and would do best in a home where introductions and compatibility are carefully considered.
He's also a boy who knows when he needs a little quiet time. When things get too busy or overwhelming, Kirby will simply find a peaceful place to relax. When he's nervous, he may chew on things, so a patient owner who understands his needs and provides appropriate outlets will be important.
True to his Husky side, Kirby LOVES the snow! He isn't a fan of hot, sunny weather and is much happier keeping cool.
Kirby is house-trained and has recovered from a torn ACL in his left leg.
A little more about Kirby:
- 5 years old - Male, Pit Bull/Husky mix - Good with children - Not suitable for homes with cats or small animals - House-trained - Best suited to a home without other male dogs
Kirby has a sister named Amelia who is also looking for a loving home. They can be adopted separately, but finding a family willing to welcome both would be wonderful.
Kirby deserves a family who will appreciate his sweet heart, respect his need for downtime, and give him a comfortable place to call home.
Please consider giving this special boy his next chapter. ❤️

Adopt Kirby and Receive Kirby's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Kirby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Kirby receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Kirby, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Kirby's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kirby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kirby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Kirby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kirby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
