Amelia is a beautiful white girl with one big black spot and a personality all her own.
She's a quiet, independent girl who tends to keep to herself. Amelia isn't the type of dog who constantly seeks attention or needs to be the center of everything. She's content doing her own thing, observing the world around her, and enjoying a peaceful environment.
Amelia is what our family lovingly calls our special girl. She doesn't make much eye contact and has her own unique way of connecting with the world. She may not show affection in the ways some dogs do, but that's part of what makes her so special.
She's okay with children but would likely do best with a patient family who understands and respects her independent personality. Thunderstorms and fireworks can frighten her, and during those times she looks for reassurance and protection from the people she trusts.
Amelia is very alert to small animals outside, so she cannot live with cats or small animals.

How will Amelia receive the contribution?

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Amelia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Amelia’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Amelia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Amelia’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
