About this Cat
Terry (aka Stinky because when he was found, he was!) is a young possible Maine Coon mix or domestic long-haired cat who loves being pet and loves to cuddle and make "air biscuits." His rescuers first met him on our front stoop where he was casually lying around and, because of his friendly demeanor, we decided to take him in before the 4th of July so he wouldn't get caught up in the street chaos. When we first brought him in he smelled very bad, but he's since had several baths and now smells like a regular, clean kitty! He's incredibly affectionate, super comfortable around humans, and loves to play and chase toys. He has a range of meows and sometimes sounds like a raspy little dinosaur (video coming), so another name that suits him is Terry - short for Pterodactyl. He's a very sweet lil guy with a lot of love to share and we're confident he'll find a great home. Here is a video of him: https://youtu.be/C8zb_LU1bS0 Terry is about 6-7 months old and healthy. He is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, snap tested neg/neg, treated for parasites, microchipped and ready for his furrever home! Please note that while his long fur makes for a beautiful look, it requires additional care: daily or every other day brushing and regular eye cleaning. As a long-haired or possible Maine Coon mix, his adoption fee is $250. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Terry was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Terry’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Terry’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Terry’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
