About this Cat
Mariah is a beautiful, affectionate, and talkative little lady who’s around 12 years old. Will you give this girl a home for her retirement years? In early October, a super-skinny and sickly gal found her way to a community cat feeding station. Her fur was severely matted, her eyes and nose were dripping, and it was obvious she didn't belong outside. We don’t know how she got there, but we knew she needed help. Despite a rough couple of months, she was an immediate sweetheart and has won the hearts of everyone she’s met -- seriously, we’ve never seen a vet’s office gush over a cat the way they have with Mariah. She’ll give you lots of love (and singing!) when you walk into the room, and she loves to curl up on a lap, purr, and be cozy while getting pets. Since coming inside, she’s already gained over a pound and is well on her way to her full recovery. She is negative for FeLV and FIV, microchipped, and current on vaccines. Mariah would love to be the only cat in the home. We think she’d be perfect for someone who’s looking for a calm, solo cat and prefers naps and snuggles over high-energy play sessions. Will you be the one to give her the loving forever home that she deserves? This is a courtesy listing, meaning the cat(s) are being offered for adoption by a rescuer, rescue group, or individual unaffiliated with the Brooklyn Cat Cafe or Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition. As BBAWC has not evaluated the animal(s) we therefore cannot provide information on health or temperament. The adoption fee may be different than what BBAWC charges. After we receive an application, we will connect you with the current caretaker of this cat.

Adopt Mariah and Receive Mariah's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mariah's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Mariah's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Mariah, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mariah's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mariah was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mariah’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mariah’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mariah’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
