Meet Alisa! Alisa is a gorgeous, approximately 2-year-old fluffy tuxedo cat with a story of resilience and hope. She was found dumped in one of the rescuer’s colonies, where she spent about two months fending for herself. Thankfully, she was rescued and brought into safety, where her journey to rebuild trust with humans began. Alisa has come a long way. Though she’s still a little shy, she now allows gentle pets and is slowly learning that people can be kind. With patience and understanding, she’s blossoming more each day. She absolutely loves watching cat videos and interactive cat games—it’s one of her favorite ways to engage with her environment and feel safe. Alisa’s heart would truly open up in a home with a friendly companion—whether it’s a kitten or an adult cat—to help her continue coming out of her shell and feel more confident. She has been spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, and microchipped. Alisa is now ready to find her forever home with someone who can offer patience, gentle love, and maybe a few fun cat videos to brighten her day. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Alisa was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Alisa’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Alisa’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Alisa’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
