Caillou is: Fully house trained Loves his crate + sleeps through the night Super smart and sensitive - we’re pretty sure he can read your mind! Incredibly athletic - no hike is to too steep or too long for this guy When it comes to new environments, Caillou can be anxious and it can take him time to settle, but when he finally does, it’s very endearing to watch his silly and fun personality emerge. Caillou loves running around and playing with other dogs outside, but cannot live in a home with other dogs or cats. We know that there’s a family or human out there experienced with smart, high-energy pups like Caillou and who can give him the structure, routine, and love he needs to succeed. You’ll be rewarded with all his love, kisses, and quirks in return. Caillou has been in foster care since he was just a puppy. Although he is currently fostered in the city, he would thrive in a suburban or rural environment with room to run. Caillou’s foster generously did a DNA test for him -- we learned he is a Pit x Russell Terrier Mutt with a sprinkling of German Shepherd, French Bulldog, Basset Hound, and Cocker Spaniel! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Caillou was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Caillou’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Caillou’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Caillou’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
