About this Cat
Muriel is a sweet and very shy moon-faced angel. She recently became a tripod, and is slowly learning to navigate her disability and the new world that is a human home. She is very timid and feels safe in her own dark, little spaces, so she will do best in a home with easily accessible “cat caves”— and calm, patient humans! She is lower-energy cat, so she is very comfortable sleeping, watching the birds, and spending time next to the humans in the home. Over the last few weeks, she has grown increasingly braver and now feels comfortable sleeping in her bed out in the open, being held, climbing/jumping up furniture… and has now even discovered a favorite chair. She has also learned to vocalize her needs, so expect to have a back-and-forth with this chatty lady as you’re prepping her dinner! Muriel’s favorite activity is getting head scratches by the humans, and now that she knows to ask for them, you can also expect some polite meows requesting more pets! Muriel was rescued with dental issues and had surgery. We would be thrilled for a potential adopter to provide a larger adoption donation (between $250 and $400 total) and/or assistance crowdsourcing funds towards their necessary vet bills if possible. This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.

Adopt Muriel and Receive Muriel's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Muriel's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Muriel's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Muriel, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Muriel's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Muriel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Muriel’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Muriel’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Muriel’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
