Say hello to tuxedo'ed cutie Pumbaa! This sweet, rambunctious little guy loves to play and run around with his foster siblings, chase toy balls and mice, and race around the house after a meal. Rescued from the street in the Bronx, Pumbaa is still a bit shy with new people, but he's learned to enjoy affection and will purr his little head off when you pet him, especially while he's eating! He even makes adorable grunting sounds when he's relaxed and snuggly. Pumbaa has the cutest little white chin and white stripe running all down his belly. With tons of goofy kitten energy, he's super playful and will wear himself out with kitty zoomies and bouncing around the house before settling down for a nap, preferably in front of a window. Pumbaa loves other cats and, even though he often plays happily by himself, he would do best in a home where he would have another active young kitty to play and snuggle with. Pumbaa is about 9 months old and healthy! He is neutered and microchipped, was treated for parasites upon rescue, has tested fiv-/felv- and is up to date on all vaccinations. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pumbaa's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pumbaa was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pumbaa’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pumbaa’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pumbaa’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
