About this Cat
Meet Quake! She's a gorgeous, golden-eyed Bombay kitty who loves a windowsill and has plenty of energy for playtime. She and her brother Black Panther (listed separately) are from a large litter found on the street last summer, later named the Superhero kittens! They may have started out in a home and were dumped because their owners couldn't handle so many cats; the woman who asked us to help was giving them tons of love. Quake is incredibly sweet, chill, playful and eager to be petted - she'll even give you a little headbutt when she wants affection. She's still a bit shy and needs a patient adopter who'll let her slowly settle in. Her foster parents say they can sense she wants to be more cuddly(!) and that, once she finds a calm furrever home to relax in, she will really start to blossom! As you can see from the photos, Quake has a particular affinity for plants and enjoys hiding out behind the leaves, hanging out near them, and even chewing on them (non-toxic plants are especially crucial with this gal!). Quake must be adopted into a home with another active, confident cat who can be a playmate and help bring him out of his shell! Quake is about 10 months old and healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, tested FIV-/FeLV- and up to date on all vaccinations. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Quake's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Quake was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Quake’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Quake’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Quake’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
