Luna & Lyra are bonded kitten sisters that had a rough start to life. Rescued from the streets of Bushwick w/out a Mom and left to fending for themselves, these girls are still coming out of their shells. On the outside they are timid and still uncertain but inside they are full of goofy kitten energy and making strides everyday. Luna is still learning to trust but LOVES her kitty friends and is extremely docile & sweet. Lyra's foster mom says that she sleeps on the bed every night and loves being scratched and petted (and soon forgets that she's supposed to be scared). Both have silky soft fur, are very good with potty habits & are adorable to watch play. The ideal home would be quiet & with a new Mom, Dad or family willing to be patient & help them become their true, spirited kitty selves! Luna and Lyra are about 7 months old and healthy. They are spayed and microchipped, tested fiv-/felv-, is up to date on vaccines and are ready for the right home where they can continue to thrive and come out of their shell!. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Luna & Lyra was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Luna & Lyra’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Luna & Lyra’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Luna & Lyra’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
