About this Cat
Tofu is an affectionate, curious girl with a playful streak. While she came to her foster terrified, hissing and spitting, it only took one Churu to get her to approach a human (still skeptically, but with haste) and delight in the treat. Needless to say, it didn’t take long for her to adjust to the VIP life and become an adorable teen kitten. Though still a bit shy around new people, she is still quickly won over with a Churu treat and a bit of playtime. Before long, she will be begging for pets by flopping down in front of you, showing off her belly and rolling around with purring delight when she gets attention. Her special trick during meal time, is to hop up on her back legs to put her head in your hand, then weave around your legs until dinner is served. She loves the resident cat, and loves to play with her brother Muffin, showing him the ropes when he gets scared. She also happily entertains herself on her own with the track and ball toys, running around with springs and puff balls, or standing on her hind legs like a meerkat in order to reach wand toys or treats just above her head. She is a happy-go-lucky girl who will snuggle in your bed at night, occasionally cuddle up on your lap for pets, and conk out for a nap stretched out like a string bean. Tofu needs to be adopted into a home with another playful kitten, her brother Muffin is also up for adoption(listed separately) and they make a great duo if you’re looking to adopt a pair. Tofu would do fine with kids and other cats. She would also likely do just fine with dogs, given a proper introduction. Tofu may have had a rough start, but she is ready for their furrrever homes and can't wait to meet their potential adopters! Tofu is about 1 years old, is healthy, spayed, microchipped and has tested negative for FIV/FELV. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tofu's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tofu was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tofu’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tofu’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tofu’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
