About this Cat
If you're lucky enough to be with Jemma, you might just be in the company of the Sweetest Cat in the World. This very shy baby has had some trauma in her past, but she's been getting ready for the good life. She will take some time getting to know you and her new home, but once she settles in, she will hop to get pets on her head, and completely give in to your hand when you scratch her cheeks. She will also give you some of her trademark silent meows when she is excited about food and treats! Some fun things about Jemma: she is as smol as she is gremlin, with her snorgling noises when she eats and sleeps. She will protect you from predators when you go to the bathroom. She has bleps and mlems for nearly any occasion. And she often has an unamused look about her, like Badtz-Maru, the nonplussed penguin in the Hello Kitty universe. Jemma has sight issues that will need monitoring, but she has no trouble at all finding her litter box or food, navigating around a home, or finding her human for pets. This shy sweetheart's ideal person is gentle, patient, respectful of kitty boundaries, and nurturing—these traits are sure to coax her out of her shell, and unlock even more loveliness in time. Jemma was rescued with dental issues and had dental surgery. In lieu of an adoption fee, we would be thrilled for a potential adopter to for a larger adoption donation and/or assistance crowdsourcing funds towards their necessary vet bills if possible. This cat has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and had an echocardiogram -- we would appreciate it if their potential adopter could help us cover this cost in lieu of an adoption donation. This cat is FIV+ and will live a normal healthy and long life when provided with quality care such as a balanced diet and yearly wellness exams (like any cat). As FIV+ is not transmittable between neutered/spayed cats under normal circumstances, we are happy for FIV+ cats to mingle with FIV- cats in their adoptive homes.

Adopt Jemma and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Jemma's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Jemma's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Jemma, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Jemma's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jemma was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jemma’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Jemma’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jemma’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
