About this Dog
Meet Kane Earlier this year, Kane was rescued from a heartbreaking and unimaginable situation—left to die in a stacked crate with no separation or care. Thankfully, construction workers found him just in time. When he came to us, he weighed only 22 pounds. With love, time, and patience, this resilient boy has blossomed and now weighs over 50 pounds at just over 2 ½ years old! Kane is currently in a loving foster home in Binghamton, NY. While he’s made great strides, the trauma of his past still lingers. He was never shown kindness before rescue, and it’s left a mark. Kane needs an experienced, compassionate adopter who understands that healing takes time. But we promise—he’s worth every moment. He’s learning new tricks like catching treats in his mouth, knows how to sit, and absolutely loves toys! He’s a happy, goofy pup with a heart of gold—just a little wonky in the best way. He gets along well with other dogs, cats, and older kids (15+), and he’s finally making big progress with housebreaking after many struggles. Kane isn’t a “bad dog”—he’s a survivor who just needs time, structure, and unconditional love to feel truly safe. Could you be his hero? All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.

Adopt Kane and Receive Kane's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Kane's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Kane's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Kane, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Kane's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kane was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kane’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kane’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kane’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
