HISTORY: CHONKA TRUCK was transferred to F&F during a TNR operation when he was found to need time to rehab. TEMPERAMENT: CHONKA TRUCK was initially thought to be semi-feral, but he now welcomes gentle pets and treats from caregivers -- on his own terms. This big buff and white boy will lean into cheek and head rubs if you go slow and give him time. He lives in a room with other community cats at our shelter but he tends to keep to himself. He would probably do best in a quiet home with no small children or dogs, and a nice window sill for napping. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Chonka Truck was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Chonka Truck’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Chonka Truck’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Chonka Truck’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
